About Us
Chief Executive's Message
"Welcome to Four Seasons' website. In this short note, I hope to give you a flavour of the values
that my company seeks to pursue.
Regarding our Care Homes Division, we are one of the two largest providers of residential care in
the United Kingdom with approximately 230 homes in England, 50 in Scotland and 60 in Northern
Ireland and the Isle of Man.
I am very privileged to have an extremely experienced,
energetic and committed team of caring people to work
with in our task of delivering a high standard of care
to the vulnerable people that we look after. We all
have a mother and father and very many of us, including
myself, have been through the distressing process of
watching our parents become elderly and vulnerable.
Our aim of trying our best to treat each of our residents
individually and sensitively comes from our empathy
with those circumstances.
We are also determined to listen very carefully to any concerns raised by our service users or other
stakeholders and do all we can where our own caring performance could be improved.
Anyone entering residential care should rightly expect a high quality service but, as has been
widely publicised, care home owners are facing difficult times these days. The level of funding
provided through local government has not nearly kept pace with the cost of inflation in running a
care home. As a result, the management of our staff and other resources has become an increasingly
demanding challenge.
At Four Seasons, I believe that we meet this challenge to an extremely high standard. I believe that
the motivation of our employees is as high as can be found anywhere and this results, directly, in
the delivery of a better standard of care.
In our Specialised Services Division, we provide a variety of complex medical, nursing and other
therapeutic care to people suffering from acquired brain injury and neurodisabilities and young adults and adolescents
suffering from eating disorders and other mental health issues, as well as adults with psychiatric
needs. To deliver these services we also have a highly experienced and committed group of consultant
psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses and other therapists who are not only very proud of the success
that such treatments can bring but are also very determined to deliver an efficient and effective
outcome for each individual patient. It is a similar privilege to work with them.
Finally in addition to the facilities we operate, there are 90 homes which we own, but are leased
out to other parties.
I hope you will find our website interesting and informative. However, in particular, I hope that
in any dealings you have with Four Seasons, you find our staff caring, concerned and courteous. We
aim, 24 hours of each day, to get as much right as we can in caring for the people that we look
after.
I welcome any comment or observation on anything that Four Seasons is trying to do and I can be
contacted by email at fourseasons@fshc.co.uk or through our Central Office, in Wilmslow, Cheshire
on 01625 417800."
