Colinton Care Home provides a high standard of care to people with Dementia, the frail elderley and those who require nursing or palliative care. The home provides permanent as well as respite beds and has a team of registered nurses and well trained and dedicated care assistants who provide an excellent standard of 24 hour care. Colinton Care Home has a very homely and warm atmosphere. Rooms are decorated to a high standard and residents are involved in choosing colours for their room. The garden is large and the residents assist with the choice of plants and any new landscaping. Food is cooked by highly trained chefs and the home recently received an ‘Eat Safe Award’ for high standards within the kitchens. A large number of the rooms at Colinton provide a garden view. All rooms have Four Season’s standard features such as thermostatic radiators, smoke detectors, televisions and 24-hour call systems.
Lifestyle and Activities
We have a varied choice of activities including use of our summer house within the garden, mini bus for outings, entertainment internally and externally. We also look at life stories and potted life histories and organise visits to the theatre, beach and the Safari park in Sterling. The home has regular interaction with the local community, schools and nurseries.
