Riverside View offers person centred care. The home has a team of dedicated care assistants that provide an excellent standard of 24 hours care.

We are situated in Darlington - famous for the first railway line from Darlington to Stockton. We are adjacent to a landscape green belt and the river Skerne near the picturesque village of Haughton-Le-Skerne. Riverside View is a spacious and tastefully decorated home.

We have a full time activities co-ordinator who encourages residents to participate in a variety of individual and group activities. These include cake decorating, knitting, crochet, flower arranging, gardening, painting, quizzes, bingo, dominoes, carpet

Being the cook in a care home is a good challenge. Knowing all about different residents dietary needs I’m not afraid to try different recipes. It gives me great satisfaction to know I do my job well. It’s lovely to see the expressions on peoples faces when I make something special i.e.; birthday cakes. Its all down to good team work and job satisfaction.

I like it here. The staff are friendly and helpful. When I can’t do things they help me then. I’m grateful for the help and think the home is lovely.

I’m diabetic and get a lovely choice. The portions are just right for me but if I wanted more I only have to ask. If I don’t like what’s on that day there’s always something else to have.
