Imelda McGilligan (Longfield Care Home)
I am a care Assistant at Longfield Care Centre in Eglinton. I recently read a poster regarding nominating someone who goes that extra mile to make sure residents are cared for to the highest standard. The care at Longfield is second to none and the staff are excellent, my work partner Imelda McGillian is in a league of her own. Imelda has a smile on her face from 8am right through to 8pm. She always finds time in her busy day to go into each room in the unit to talk with residents. She is very meticulous in her work and leaves every resident she assists throughout the day looking pristine. If Imelda is on holiday, the residents ask after her because they miss her. She makes people feel special and I would appreciate that maybe she can receive some thanks and appreciation for her efforts.
Jo Lawson (Park Farm Lodge Care Home)
Outstanding senior care worker. Nothing is too much trouble. She is always happy. Her primary concern is always for the care and wellbeing of her patients and we love her to pieces, as does my husband who breaks out into a big smile whenever he hears her voice. That is the effect she has on the people she cares for. If you had more people like Jo in your care homes I would sell up and move into one of your homes right now.
Ivyhouse Care Home (Aarondale Care Home)
Hi Mandy
Early days yet I know... but I thought I’d just drop you a mail about how my Dad has settled in.
We are delighted with both the facilities and the staff.
You have some really good staff there.
I’m particularly grateful as regards how you are also making my mum feel involved and part of things. She has more or less stopped eating these last few weeks, so I’m grateful that the staff have been offering her tea/coffee / meals with dad if she ever wanted them.
Kind regards
Tony
Manager & all staff intermediate care (Grove House (Wirral) Care Home)
All the staff here are great, they go out of their way to help you with the simple or hardest of things, my father was in there for a few weeks and he was really happy there and it was sad to leave......Grove House is a credit to Four Seasons.
All Staff (Ivyhouse Care Home)
My aunt, Audrey Shipway recently passed away whilst being cared for on Daffodil Unit at Ivyhouse. I have to write and tell you of the kindness and dedication of some of the staff which went way beyond the call of duty. Staff Nurse Julia O'Brien gave me confidence that everything possible was being done to make my aunts last week of life as comfortable as possible. On some occasions I found carer's, Ashley Augustine, Kieran Skinner and Chris Bird giving up their breaks to hold her hand and give her comfort while I was not there. I would like to acknowledge the help and support of the Administrator, Beverley Woodward who has guided and helped many relatives through the many changes.
Sheryl and Tanta (Hamilton House Care Home)
My father has been resident at Hamilton House since April 2010. Sheryl has just been promoted to Deputy Manager from Sister and Tanta
to Sister from senior nurse. Both are highly committed, very hard working and very caring nurses, and have provided consistency, friendship and care for my father who has had some significant health challenges. They have always been very helpful and courteous to myself and Dad's other relatives despite our frequent contact and queries. I have met many other nurses during my father's journey through hospital (some very painful memories) and during his stay at Hamilton House. Tanta and Sheryl are outstanding members of their profession
Katrina Boyd (Kingfisher House Care Home)
I have visited a friend in Kingfisher House and been in respite there myself on two occasions. I came home yesterday 24th Feb. I found Katrina to be a very gentle pillar of strength. Her attitude to the job is remarkable and she genuinely CARES about everyone she meets. Katrina thoroughly enjoys helping others. If I visit Kingfisher House and Katrina is on duty I know that Katrina will see that I am looked after. If I were asked the question, do you know anyone who works as a care assistant because they simply enjoy it? yes her name KATRINA BOYD. I understand that Katrina has worked at Kingfisher House for some 12 years. I hope she gets the recognition she richly deserves. I would be honoured to attend the presentation. WELL DONE KATRINA BOYD!
Jackie Booth (Hulton Care Home)
May I recommend Jackie Booth as being an extra ordinary carer. Jackie has provided me with help to buy my families Christmas presents over the years as I am unable to do this task. I am 77 years old and expect to spend the remaining years of my life living in Hulton Care Home. I hope Jackie will stay many more years so she can continue to do this favour for me.

Claire Tighe and all her staff (Palace House Care Home)
My mother has spent 9 happy months in Palace House and has left fitter and happier. She never stopped remarking on how hard Claire worked every single day and how she pitched in with her staff whatever needed doing. What a way to motivate colleagues! CAROLINE NUGENT (Dunlarg Care Home)
Caroline Nugent is the nurse responsible for the young people department in Dunlarg care centre, my sister was onrespite care in this unit, she is a 50 year old lady with learning disabilities and experienced the utmost quality of care that we have experienced in my sisters history in the care service. she was treated as an individuial with a voice, her needs respected and met and was made feel extremely improtant in her individuality. Caroline took leadership to her staff, the clients look on her as a mothering figure. I have been to visit many home with a view to respite and would not have to think twice about recommending this home to my colleagues on various care forums / groups. I am a carer representative on various disciplinary groups and am a medical profession, in light of Carolines practices and standards they are second to none and her success is highlighted in the running of her unit. I would like to see her rewarded for her contribution to care of younger people with a disability.

* Janice always seems to be on the go, often doing the job of carers when they are very busy.
* She is a good leader, who leads others by her example.
* When there are brief times with less activity she will take the opportunity to interact with the residents.

Nete Wood and her team (Park House Care Home)
We moved my father in law Dennis Walker into the care home on 24th December 2010. Unfortunately he died on 3rd January 2011, however during his short time there Dennis was very well cared for. All the staff seemed to work very hard at making his stay very comfortable with all his needs being addressed.
Although it was a difficult decision to make, we were in no doubt that the home was the very best we could have hoped for - a 'home from home'.
We are all extremely grateful that Dennis was surrounded by kind and understanding people when he finally passed away.
Thank you so very much, your team are a credit to Four Seasons Healthcare.
Leony Eastcroft (Havencourt Care Home)
I just wanted to say how much Bessie appreciates the work Leonie Eastcroft does for her. If I understand Bessie correctly, I think Leonie works downstairs and washes Bessie once a week more as a favour than as a designated duty. If this is the case, I hope that management is aware how kind and gentle Leonie is with Bessie knowing exactly how to handle her while constantly reassuring her that she will be careful. Bessie appreciates all that Leonie does and I just wanted to be sure that this is recognised. Many thanks Irene
Margaret Wilson (Evedale Care Home)
Margaret always appears very positive, caring, understanding and also very helpful whatever the situation or needs of both residents and relatives.
As a carer, She always seems to make sure that every residents needs on her watch are never forgotten or missed, whoever they are, or what difficult behaviour they may display from dementia etc, for example.
Margaret is also always cheerful & never afraid to tell anyone how much she loves her work and really is an excellent & professional representative of both Four Seasons and in particular her own home, Evedale, in Coventry.
After 2 years getting to know her, it feels an honour to nominate Margaret who as part of the team at Evedale has looks after my mother in law, Susan who suffers from advanced dementia.
The Manager and All Staff at Peterlee (Peterlee Care Home)
Grateful thanks to Tom and all his dedicated staff who cared for my Aunt, Ivy Hoad during her ten years at Peterlee Care Home until she died in February 2011 at the age of 103 years. They were like family to her.
Ivy lived over 300 miles from her nieces and nephew but it was reassuring to know that she was in safe hands. Ivy really enjoyed the games, activites and outings. I was always made so welcome whenever I visited and really enjoyed my 'holidays' with Auntie Ivy and all at Peterlee!

Throughout her residency, Marion and her family were always treated with respect, kindness and understanding. All the staff were welcoming and always offered drinks when we visited Mum. During her last week, the staff made her family feel welcome and comfortable throughout the long week, both day and night family sat at her bedside, our privacy was always respected, drinks and snacks were on offer day and night,as was the welcome offer of a bed in a vacant room. Maureen Hollis and Frances Green (Alexandra Care Home)
Following the recent death of a resident. Maureen and Fran acted in the absence of any recognised next of kin by organising and assisting with funeral arrangements, purchasing flowers out of their own money, attending funeral service and are currently negotiating final resting place for the resident. All the above was carried out in their own time and without prompting. This comes as no surprise to me (Manager of the home)as both these ladies continually and consistently give more than is asked of them, often giving up their own time to benefit residents.

Gintautas is a really caring Key Worker. He is very observant and looks after my husband's complex needs very well. He is also friendly and welcoming, and well organised. All round I feel my husband is in good hands with Gintautas.

both kitchen assistants stepped into the breach when our chef was unable to get in due to the weather. Not only did they cover shifts at short notice, they had to cope with the introduction of the new menu's,and lack of supplies. They both showed dedication to the residents and the company.
Andrew Roy (Lammermuir House Care Home)
i know a lot of staff have been working over and above due to the adverse conditions, but Andrew our gardener has been coming down to work before 7am to ensure paths are safe for staff, and repeatedly throughout the day to maintain the safety of visitors. he has then come back for 8pm to ensure staff can get home. All of this was of his volition, i only found out by chance what he had been doing.

she works so hard to find each and every resident an activity they personally like to do.
Mandy (The Dell Care Home)
She is one of the hardest workers and kindest workers i have ever had the pleasure to meet, she has a low self estemem and that is apparent, but she should be very proud of herself as the people she cares for and works with think she is amazing. She 100% should be awarded for her achievmentss. Thank you
All staff, specifically Helen though Glynis, Christine & Tara were also mentioned by my mother (Joan Ritchie) (Westview Lodge Care Home)
Excellent standard of care that you have shown my mother during her stay at Westview Lodge and, as importantly, for showing genuine friendliness & respect.
lorna menzies (Rosemount Care Home)
Lorna is the administrator at the home. She always goes above and beyond her role to help the residents and staff. She helps with activities, on trips(on her days off), she is always smiling and interacting with the residents. She involves the residents in the office too-one lady regularly helps her with the paperwork! She is a genuinely kind hearted and warm person and certainly an asset to Rosemount.
Being a carer at the day centre has enabled me to work with clients/service users who suffer with Alzheimer’s and Dementia and help assist them with different individual and group work, which promotes their independence.
Care Assistant, Holybourne Care Home
The Home has wonderful meals.
