Singing and dancing keeps residents entertained in Dounemount

Dounemount Care Home in Macduff has embraced everything Scottish as they welcomed entertainment into the home.

Kay Robertson, Home Manager, said: “We enjoy providing special experiences which make a difference to the residents’ lives here in Dounemount. We had some very Scottish themed entertainers come in. The first being children from Macduff Primary School who came to sing Christmas carols. Everyone thought they did a fantastic job.

We also played host to a Highland Dance Class, who came and showcased their routines. Some of our residents were so enamoured with what they saw that they showed off their moves as well. It was a great day!”

The home also welcomed Sheena, the Community Team Leader from Tesco in Banff, as she took on her 12 days of Christmas challenge.

Kay Robertson, Home Manager, explained: “Sheena came bearing gifts for the residents and spent time getting to know them and having a right old chin wag. The residents are looking forward to welcoming her back another time.”
