Welcome to Abbeylands Care Home
Here at Abbeylands in Whiteabbey, County Antrim, we offer different levels of care to suit a range of needs. Whether it's nursing and palliative care, shorter-term care, respite or post-operative care, our team of friendly, registered nurses and well-trained, dedicated care assistants are there for residents 24-hours a day.
At Abbeylands Care Home, residents are considered part of the family. We put their health and happiness at the heart of everything we do, and our dedicated team of nurses and carers actively encourage residents to take part in all decisions - contributing to everything from the way their rooms look to the therapies they receive.
Life at Abbeylands Care Home
We have two dedicated activity coordinators who ensure all residents have something stimulating and enjoyable to choose from. Our varied programme includes handicrafts, gardening, darts, musical entertainment and trips to local places of interest, including nearby Loughshore Park.
We also work closely with local churches and celebrate at least one seasonal event a month, including Burns Night, Mother's Day and Halloween, to name a few.
All of the staff have helped me during my time here. I have been in Abbeylands nearly 10 years and feel that both my wife and I have been very well looked after.
I find the activities within the home good and enjoyable. I take part in darts and bingo and enjoy winning prizes. I also enjoy taking part in the outings, especially the visits to the local Working Men's club as it helps me keep my links with the local community.
My Mother is happy with the standard of food service and presentation. The menu is varied and there is plenty of choice.
A lovely homely environment where residents are helped to personalise their rooms to make them feel homely.

Colleagues from Laurels Lodge Care Home in Woodside, Havencourt Care Home in Stonehaven and Cumbrae Lodge Care Home in Irvine all came together to do a skydive, raising money for residents in their care and Alzheimer's Scotland.
Tracey Rhodes, Resident Experience Facilitator for Scotland, said: "Everyone was really excited for the jump. One of them hadn't even been in a plane, and they completed it, which was a huge accomplishment. They managed to raise £4,000 which is fantastic. Well done everyone."
Congratulations everyone! We’re all proud of you.

12th-18th June marks Carers Week, and here at Four Seasons Health Care we wanted to say thank you to the thousands of carers in our homes who regularly make a difference to the lives of our residents and their families.
In 2016 at the Four Seasons Care Awards, colleagues, residents, families and health care professionals identified the cream of the crop. However, over the past 18 months, positive praise has continued to arrive commending the care and kindness shown by our carers from across the organisation.
Watch this space to see if you can see your favourite carer on our website and social media pages.
You are our heroes of the week. Well done everyone!
