Resident Activities

We’re committed to offering meaningful activities and throughout the pandemic, we’ve maintained a varied and interesting programme. Sometimes it’s just about adapting to new ways of doing things and still maintaining links with our local community even when we can’t get out and about too much.

Mind, body & soul

Our Magic Moments programme of activities encourages all-round wellbeing. In equal measure we focus on keeping the mind sharp and agile, the body fit and mobile, and the soul lively and engaged through entertainment, challenges, discoveries and personal interest activity.

Activities can range from creative crafts and gardening in the sunshine to a good old sing-a-long. Homes have connected residents with their local community with Postcard Pals and we’ve introduced a Walk ‘N Talk Club, helping residents to get out in the fresh air, stay active and revisit favourite local walks, even if just virtually.

Residents at Four Seasons care homes across the UK are enjoying fun and effective exercise sessions specially designed for older people. Our activities team will be accredited to lead varied exercise sessions that help residents to stay active and engaged.

The chair based exercise and movement classes are set to music and use props including pom poms to really bring the sessions to life. The programme has been developed with the support of ‘Oomph!, an award-winning social enterprise. The Oomph! Sessions will run twice a week in each home.

“ I cannot speak highly enough of all the amazing staff. My mum is so well cared for, and I have peace of mind. I am kept well informed of medical needs, diet and her general well being. I am very impressed at the amount of activities on offer both for people who enjoy group work or prefer a one to one. I feel I can speak to any staff member, and they are always willing to chat. The manager is very approachable and keeps the residents’ families well informed of everything going on. “
