In partnership with others

We are working with hospitals, healthcare professionals, local authorities and family members to continue to welcome new residents into our homes. We follow latest government guidance to ensure moving into the home is comforting and supportive for all new residents whilst keeping the welfare and safety of all parties our top priority.

We have joined with researchers at UCL, alongside the Department of Health & Social Care, to launch the only major study into the impact of Covid-19 on those living and working in care homes. The study will give the opportunity for both residents and team members living and working in the group’s care homes in England to be regularly tested to help track the virus, understand past exposure and to determine whether this provides immunity from Covid-19. Testing has already begun and the study will continue with further tests over the next 12 months.

“ I would just like to take this opportunity to thank all the amazing staff for looking after my mum. Over the past 2 and a half years the care and attention she received was brilliant, the staff go above and beyond for the residents and have done amazingly in keeping everyone safe during this difficult time with not one case of COVID. Unfortunately, my mum passed away on the 25th of August 2020 and the attention and dedication of the staff in the 4 weeks she was ill was second to none. Cardonald has a lovely homely feel and I knew that mum was safe and cared for. I have recommended the home a few times to people who have been looking for somewhere for their loved one and would 100% do it again. Thank you all, you are all angels. My aunt is still there so will still keep in touch with everyone who I now class as my friends. “
