Welcome to Dolphin View Care Home
You'll find Dolphin View on the harbour in Amble, Northumberland.
Here we provide person-centred general nursing and residential care, in a friendly and welcoming environment. We encourage residents' families to become involved with our home and its daily activities, and aim to promote dignity, choice and respect for everyone
Ours is a purpose-built nursing home with ample car parking for visitors. We have two floors which can be accessed by stairs or passenger lift, two lounges, and a dining room. There are dedicated baths and toilets for residents with disabilities, and access to a garden area which offers lovely views across the harbour.
All rooms are singles with hand basins. Bathrooms, showers and toilets are close to each bedroom and communal area.
My husband has used the respite care at Dolphin View on 3 times now while I have taken a short break, he suffers from Parkinson's disease, I have found the staff to be exceptionally friendly and helpful, his medication is always given on time, and when I collect him he always reports how jovial the staff are and how well he has been looked after.
Everyone working in Dolphin View seem to to really care about the patients, this is a great comfort when you are leaving a loved one even for a short break.
I have been in the home three years now and I feel better than ever. I am very well looked after by all the staff. I like all the staff they are very good. The meals are very good, I have put on a lot of weight since I moved in due to the healthy eating and all my friends and family say I look better. I find the activities very good and I get taken out for walks which I enjoy. The home is in a lovely location overlooking the sea. I am not far from my family and friends. I find the new manager very good, she has made some good changes and think she is going to do the home the world of good.
It's excellent, we are well fed and well looked after. Everyone's very helpful.
I highly recommend Dolphin View. Staff, food, rooms are lovely. A very friendly atmosphere.
Absolutely over the moon with my standard of care. The staff, management need a medal. Very friendly and caring.
A very good home. Staff very friendly and caring. Kiss at breakfast and dinner ha ha. I would highly recommend.
I find all the carers very helpful, they have a difficult job and they do it very well. We go out on the bus and have lots of activities. I highly recommend the home to other potential residents.
A very friendly caring environment. Food and rooms are inviting. Would recommend this establishment, lots of entertainment. I am very happy here.
The home is very good , it's very clean and the food is good. The bedrooms are lovely. The staff are very pleasant. If you want anything you get it. The staff will go out of their way for you, you can't get better than that.
I have been here just over 8 years. I like the company. We are lucky to be here. The food is pretty good. The care staff are good. We are lucky I have had home help in the past and they were no good you can't do much in the time they are there. We have everything here.

Friday 16th June marked Care Home Open Day, a day that actively encourages people in the local community to pop into their local care home and find out what’s going on.
The theme for this year’s open day was friendship, and Four Seasons homes and their local community certainly forged some long lasting friendships with their local communities through a variety of different events.
The events included:
- The Prince’s Trust heading into Kingsmead Care Home in Swindon sprucing up the garden
- Ty Eirin Care Home in Port welcomed in local school children and councillors for a fun filled afternoon
- A Jazz band kept everyone entertained in Pontypridd at Ty Gwynno Care Home
- It was a more sleepy affair at Whittington Care Home in Chesterfield as the team turned up for work in the PJs before having lots of fun with residents, relatives and visitors to the home
- Music and dancing was definitely on the cards for many of our homes as Benarty View Care Home in Kelty, Gotton Manor Care Home in Taunton, Benholm Care Home in Forfar and Laurels Lodge Care Home in Woodside, all had musical entertainment (and an assortment of other activities) for their guests
- Campsie View Care Home in Glasgow had their own petting zoo for everyone to enjoy
- The Laurels Care Home in Hetton-le-Hole held a country and western themed day which everyone thoroughly enjoyed
- Jazz was the music of choice at The Cedars and Larches Care Home in Ilkeston’s festivities.
- Redwell Hills Care Home in Consett, remembered the friends they’d sadly lost and released some balloons with messages in their honour.
The photos you can see above are just a snap shot of what happened at our homes during Care Home Open Day. It’s great to see from the pictures that everyone had lots of fun.

12th-18th June marks Carers Week, and here at Four Seasons Health Care we wanted to say thank you to the thousands of carers in our homes who regularly make a difference to the lives of our residents and their families.
In 2016 at the Four Seasons Care Awards, colleagues, residents, families and health care professionals identified the cream of the crop. However, over the past 18 months, positive praise has continued to arrive commending the care and kindness shown by our carers from across the organisation.
Watch this space to see if you can see your favourite carer on our website and social media pages.
You are our heroes of the week. Well done everyone!

Residents from Dolphin View Care Home in Northumberland were treated to a surprise for a Red Nose Day when the care team turned up for work ready for bed.
Instead of turning up for work in their usual uniforms the team turned up in their pyjamas to raise money for Comic Relief.
Everyone also got to grips with technology as they took advantage of the Red Nose Day filters on Snap Chat.
Jacqueline Bird, Home Manager, said: “Everyone had lots of fun. The photos we got using the Snap Chat filters had everyone in stitches. I was glad we could do something special for the residents and Comic Relief.”
