Welcome to Doulton Court Care Home

You'll find Doulton Court in the town of Sutton on Sea, Lincolnshire.

Here our team of dedicated registered nurses and care assistants offers excellent 24-hour care. We serve young physically disabled adults, and people who are elderly. We provide long-term care, care for those with dementia, respite care, holiday care and day care.

Our comfortable purpose-built care home is a 10-minute walk from the seafront. It's a two-storey building with large lounges and dining rooms, and smaller sitting rooms.

All bedrooms have great safety systems. Several downstairs have patio doors looking out onto our central courtyard with a fish pond and grassed area where people sit out in the nice weather.

We love residents to personalise their own rooms with pictures and ornaments. We also provide specialist profiling beds for people with high dependency nursing needs.

Life at Doulton Court Care Home

A carer and a resident

I have been visiting Doulton Court for over four years and have always found the management, staff and carers to be very helpful and friendly to all. I would recommend this home to anyone.

Mr Eric Cox, relative of resident at Doulton Court Care Home

I enjoy a high standard of comfort, care, choice and have plenty of banter with the staff. I enjoy the activities and my daughter always feels welcome on her daily visits.

Resident at Doulton Court Care Home

John feels that Doulton Court is his home. Everyone makes sure that he gets what he has asked for and nothing is too much trouble. I feel satisfied that John is happy and that all his care needs are met.

Mrs Veronica Metcalfe, relative of resident at Doulton Court Care Home

I always felt very welcome at Doulton Court. I trusted the carers with my mothers care and knew all her many needs were met with care and understanding.

Four Seasons Health Care were finalists in nine categories at this year’s LaingBuisson Awards, and at the awards ceremony on Wednesday 15th November, the organisation was awarded with a well-deserved award.

The LaingBuisson Awards recognise and celebrate industry excellence and innovative services in the public, private and third sectors.

Four Seasons Health Care scooped the award in the ‘Nursing Practice’ category in recognition of the innovative approach to the advancement of nursing knowledge and nursing education within the care home sector.

Our Care Home Nursing Journal (CNJ) along with our individual Nursing Twitter channel (@FSHCNurses) won plaudits with the judges for being totally unique within the care sector.

Furthermore, there was a recognition of the achievements of the front-line nurses who have written articles, presented at conferences, won scholarships and been finalists at numerous nursing awards in the past 12 months. Again, these achievements are unique within the care sector.

Joanne Strain, Head of Nursing, said: “This is a terrific result for Four Seasons Health Care and real recognition of our growing influence amongst care home nurses in the UK. This is only the start of our journey and I want to dedicate this award to all our tremendous nurses across the FSHC family”.

Carol Cousins, Northern Ireland Managing Director, also commented on the award success. She said: “This award is recognition for inspirational nurse leaders in creating the first clinical nursing journal in the independent care home sector – well done to all involved”.

While CNJ editorial board member, and Clinical Lead Nurse of Cameron House Care Home in Bury, Craig Priestley stated: “I’m so proud we won – the CNJ is one of the best learning resources we have for Four Seasons Nurses. It has shaped and improved nursing practice and helped to improve quality of life – well done to all involved in its production!”

If you’d like to take a look at the award winning journal, it’s available on the Four Seasons website in the publications area.
