Welcome to Elswick Hall Care Home
You'll find Elswick Hall close to Newcastle city centre, with excellent transport links to all areas.
Here we provide high-quality general nursing and residential care to elderly residents, both long-term and to meet respite requirements.
Our large, south-facing garden with furnished patio area was developed with help from the Northumberland Wildlife Trust. It has plants and shrubs to attract animal visitors; and there are raised beds with herbs and vegetables so residents can get involved growing their own.
Inside, the home is well equipped and comfortable with two spacious lounge/diners, one having a large flat-screen TV.
All our bedrooms have en-suites, and some overlook the garden. We love residents to personalise their rooms and choose their own colour schemes to make these spaces more familiar and homely.
Life at Elswick Hall Care Home
Our dedicated activities coordinator ensures each person living here has something stimulating and enjoyable to look forward to.
They encourage individual hobbies and interests, and also make sure there are plenty of group goings-on.
Our interesting programme includes bingo, gardening, cooking, and entertainers performing at the home; as well as trips out to local places of interest and the theatre.
Local members of the clergy also visit regularly, and we have links with the local college whose students come by too.
We welcome friends and family to events like our pie-and-pea suppers. And we celebrate special seasonal events, such as Burns Night, St George's Day and Halloween.
I feel comfortable but things could be better, e.g going out in the bus more in summer time, and having Caribbean food included in choice of meals. Staff are helpful and nice.
Feel some staff don't understand me or listen but it may be because they don't know the building.
I feel it is a nice place to be, but would much rather be in my own place, hopefully in time that will be in the future. There is always support when I need it. I would miss a lot of people if I were to leave because they are my friends. But I know that I could keep in touch if I wanted to.
I feel safe here.
I like the home.
Think it's a good place. I have no problems at all, I'm getting sick of chips. The nurses and care are very good.
I am happy here.

On Monday 27th March 2017 Four Seasons scooped the ‘Flu Fighter Social Care Award’ at the prestigious Flu Fighter awards.
The Flu Fighter award celebrate the great achievements of flu teams and organisations who promote the importance of flu vaccinations to everyone in their organisation.
Four Seasons was shortlisted for the ‘Social Care Award’ after being nominated following the success of the internal Flu and You campaign. Before being presented with the award, Daniel Mortimer, Chief Executive for NHS Employers said: “Four Seasons Heath Care launched its campaign with the goal of reducing the occurrence of flu in its colleagues. They created leaflets and flu packs that provided details about the importance of the flu vaccination and how to get vaccinated. This worked really well and they had an extra 1,600 colleagues vaccinated, which increased uptake by 22% this season. Well done.”
