Care Home Manager
Mike has over 20 years experience in care, always bringing out the best of every care home. Alongside this, Mike obtained a BSc (hons) in Dementia Studies from the University of Bradford. Additionally, Mike proudly possesses a Registered Manager Award and a NVQ Level 4 in management.
Mike has a keen interest in military history, animals and motorcycles. Mike owns a BMW motorcycle and recently went on a touring holiday around France. In this time, Mike visited the battlefields and spent time paying his respects to the service men and women.
One of Mike’s biggest achievements outside of work is his two rescue dogs, who are sadly no longer with Mike. They were brought over from abroad with the help of ‘Setter rescue’. Mike worked hard to train these rare breed rescues to become loving PAT (Pet as Therapy) dogs. Mike’s dogs brought love comfort and pleasure to many, including Mike himself. In total Mike has cared for six rescue dogs.
Mike says “it is so important that residents live the life that they want to achieve”. Mike continues to say he feels proud and privileged to know and support so many amazing residents.
