You'll find Laburnum Court in Salford, Lancashire. Here, every member of our team works hard to make sure each person living here is comfortable and well cared for.

We provide specialist nursing, dementia care, and short-term respite care. We also offer dedicated end-of-life care at a time residents and their families need additional help and support.

Ours is a spacious, purpose-built home with modern facilities. There are spacious and tastefully decorated lounges where residents can chat with friends, pursue their hobbies or simply relax.

Many of the living areas have been designed to be easily used by people with dementia, and there's also an activities room and a hair salon.

We have a range of spacious, bright, airy bedrooms with modern decor. All are warm and comfortable, and residents are welcome to bring their own furniture to personalise these spaces.

On Monday 27th March 2017 Four Seasons scooped the ‘Flu Fighter Social Care Award’ at the prestigious Flu Fighter awards.

The Flu Fighter award celebrate the great achievements of flu teams and organisations who promote the importance of flu vaccinations to everyone in their organisation.

Four Seasons was shortlisted for the ‘Social Care Award’ after being nominated following the success of the internal Flu and You campaign. Before being presented with the award, Daniel Mortimer, Chief Executive for NHS Employers said: “Four Seasons Heath Care launched its campaign with the goal of reducing the occurrence of flu in its colleagues. They created leaflets and flu packs that provided details about the importance of the flu vaccination and how to get vaccinated. This worked really well and they had an extra 1,600 colleagues vaccinated, which increased uptake by 22% this season. Well done.”

Many people start their career path doing something they love, and they yearn to develop, grow and blossom in their profession.

Here at Four Seasons, Care Assistants can up-skill themselves on the organisations Care Home Assistant Practitioners (CHAPs) programme.

On Tuesday 20th December 2016, a graduation ceremony was held at Shawcross Social Club in Wigan, celebrating the achievements of 41 newly qualified CHAPs.

Rachael Junge, Four Seasons Northwest Managing Director said: “Everyone is really proud of every single CHAP and nurse who mentored them through the programme. We’re often really busy, and forget to recognise the hard work people put in, but this graduation ceremony is our way to reward and recognise you all. The journey is a long one; it takes a lot of dedication to complete. You can all wear your uniform with pride, and know that we’re all extremely proud of you. Well done everyone and congratulations once again.”

Mike O’Reilly, Risk Management Director for Four Seasons Health Care, said: “It’s a real privilege for me to attend ceremonies like this. The CHAPs programme is very innovative, and it really does make a difference to our residents’ lives as it provides continuity for them. I want to echo Rachael’s statement of congratulations to everyone who graduated and those who supported them.”

A total of 41 CHAPs graduated from the programme and will be working in 16 homes across the Northwest. The homes benefitting from the CHAPs skills are:

The newly qualified CHAPs are now able to provide some general nursing duties such as medication rounds. This benefit’s the home as it enables the nurse to deal with more complex issues.

Angela Clarke, Regional Manager for Greater Manchester has been crowned Regional Manager of the Year for the North West of England in the Four Seasons Health Care Awards 2016 and is through to the national finals.

These are the 1st Four Season’s Care Awards and this year over 700 people were nominated for awards by care home residents, colleagues and visitors. All entries have been of a very high standard making the judging process a difficult one. However, a winner had to be chosen and the nomination for Angela demonstrated how she continues to make a difference and provide special resident experiences on a daily basis.

During the judging process for the Regional Manager of the Year award, the panel was looking at a number of different factors including the individual demonstrating exceptional leadership skills and the ability to prioritise the day to day challenges of the role. This individual has supported their homes and helped them to achieve the company’s strategic priorities whilst managing external stakeholders and keeping special resident experiences at the centre of everything they do.

Angela was nominated by a colleague. Her nomination read: “Angela is a forward thinking, innovative, inspirational leader. She demonstrates a high level of commitment to all her homes. Angela’s strength and determination helps her to guide her teams. She always goes that extra mile to listen, support, problem solve and find solutions that work. Her professionalism has no bounds and reiterates that our main purpose is to provide the best possible care we can.”

As the winner for the North West of England, Angela is automatically through to the national Four Season’s Care Awards finals. She will meet a panel of judges in for the last round of judging and will then join finalists from across the UK in Birmingham for a special event to celebrate their achievements and discover if they have won a national award.

Rachael Junge, Managing Director for Four Seasons Health Care in the North West of England, said: “Angela is a very supportive Regional Manager who always gives all of her best. She is well respected by her team and her peers. She has a natural ability to build her team and find solutions to problems which can be difficult, whilst multi-tasking her day to day job. It’s those extra few minutes that Angela will find for her team that has helped her to be a stabilizing force in her region. Well done Angela!”

The Care Awards were open to employees from all Four Seasons homes across the UK and central team members to celebrate their commitment in the delivery of high-quality services to 14,000 residents cared for in more than 300 locations.

The 14 categories have been created to recognise excellence in a variety of roles across the organisation ranging from ‘Registered Nurse of the Year’ to ‘Care Home Manager of the Year’. We also wanted to recognise the hard the dedication and commitment from our residents, their relatives and volunteers.

Tim Hammond, CEO of Four Seasons Health Care said: “The award categories are all really important as we want to highlight the fantastic people we have working here in our organization. However, I believe it is important to acknowledge the special people who go above and beyond to help others in the community, and this is why our ‘Resident or Relative Contribution’ and ‘Volunteer of the Year’ awards are so important to us.

“I look forward to seeing all of our Regional winners at the National Finals in December.”
