Life at Lawn Park Care Home
Our dedicated activities coordinator provides residents with pastimes and diversions they've chosen. Our fortnightly plan includes baking, cake making, gardening, reminiscing afternoons, crafts, hand care and nail massage.
We take regular trips out in the summer to places like West Midlands Safari Park, Matlock, Bakewell and Skegness. We often eat out locally, and invite residents' friends and family to join us.
We have weekly late-evening entertainment including cheese-and-wine evenings, music sharing, and film and quiz nights. There are monthly movement-to-music sessions, and a variety of entertainers perform at the home.
Our local chaplain visits every fortnight to deliver church services and to give Holy Communion to any residents wishing to take part.
I am very pleased with how my husband is being cared for. They are all excellent.
Mum moved to Lawn Park in March 2015. The manager and her team are fantastic, mum is well looked after and cared for. A big well done to all, I am at ease leaving mum in your care.

Four Seasons Health Care picked up three accolades on Tuesday 5th December 2017 at the Training Journal (TJ) Awards. Winning three categories meant that Four Seasons Health Care led the way, as they were the only organisation to win in multiple categories.
Who were the winners?
The Dementia Care Framework won the ‘Best Change Management Programme’, which is a fantastic achievement and further highlights the positive impact this is having on the lives of people living in Four Seasons homes with dementia.
The Judges commented: “We recognise Four Health Care work in the field of dementia care as innovative and thorough in its approach, being both effective and transformative. It had a bold vision that was well executed in a challenging environment.”
The Care Home Nursing Journal (CNJ), Four Seasons’ very own internal publication to develop nurse knowledge and share best practice won its category of ‘Best Organisational Development Programme'.
The Judges commented: “The design of this intervention, which on the surface appears very simple, completely meets the needs of the organisation and has had significant impact. A particular strength was that Four Seasons Health Care decided to make these resources freely available to anyone, making the impact even greater and is improving healthcare outcomes in care homes everywhere.”
Finally, Louise Morris the Care Home Assistant Practitioner (CHAP) Lead won the main award of the night and was crowned the ‘Learning and Development Professional of the Year’.
The Judges stated: “Louise has had a transformational impact, not only on the learning and development of staff at Four Seasons Health Care, but also on the well-being of residents. Through a review of an existing programme, Louise drove design and improvement which has had significant benefits through improved care, staff practice and confidence and commitment to their work and professional development.”
Congratulations to everyone on this fantastic achievement!

Residents, relatives and the care team at Lawn Park care Home in Sutton in Ashfield enjoyed a lovely BBQ as their last hurrah to summer.
However, the lovely British weather had other plans, and this BBQ had to be an indoor one. This didn’t dampen everyone’s spirits though.
Rosalind Kennedy-Brown, Home Manager, said: “Everyone had a lovely time. The food was delicious and many people even indulged in a tipple or two. We held a raffle and raised some additional money for our residents’ fund. I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported our event.”
