Paul Hayes - Chief Commercial Officer, Four Seasons Health Care
Paul is the Chief Commercial Officer at Four Seasons and has responsibility for commissioning, operations, strategy, growth, and service development. Paul oversees intermediate care operations and has led on the growth of Four Seasons intermediate care services in England as well as developing a national clinical support team who have developed the Intermediate Care Framework.
Paul started working in health and social care at age 16, as a care assistant in a nursing home for older people with dementia. Over the past two decades Paul has worked in both the statutory and independent sectors, working in social work care management in adult social care for local authorities and has developed extensive experience in the care home provider sector working as a home manager, regional manager and for the past 12 years as a director in senior leadership teams in three of the largest independent care providers in the UK. Paul has worked with older people and people with dementia and also has worked in services supporting people with learning disabilities and people with mental health needs.
Paul has served as a co-chair of Care England’s Learning Disability group and a non-executive director at Learning Disability England. Paul is a steering group member for NHS England’s Out of Hospital / Urgent Care Network and has contributed to many publications and guides to reducing delayed transfers of care and better use of care homes in supporting local health and social care systems. Paul has an MBA from the International Management College and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School from the Advanced Management Programme in International Healthcare Delivery. Paul is currently studying Global Health Care Innovation and Strategy at Imperial Business School, London.

Alastair Dewar - Head of Service Development UK, Intermediate Care, Four Seasons Health Care
Alastair Dewar qualified from Edinburgh Napier University, where he trained as an RNMH. Since 2017 he has worked for FSHC leading the design, development and programme management of their Intermediate Care Framework as well as leading the successful commissioning and mobilisation of their first standalone Intermediate Care Centre in England. Alastair’s passion for ‘be the change’ started as a teen by joining his school charities committee, before working in a local nursing home and then as a nurse. Leading to a career which has seen him working across the independent sector, NHS and Local Authorities in senior positions leading on large scale transformation and change.
With significant experience and qualifications in Commissioning, Programme Management (MSP, PRINCE2) and Business Change (Six Sigma, Cert LEAN Leader). Previous roles include regional coordinator for the Integration of Health and Social Care, and North STP project lead for ‘Out of Hospital’ care. A former student of the NHS Leadership Academy he has also studied Healthcare Leadership (PgCert) and Transformational Leadership in Health and Social Care (MSc).
Alana Irvine - Intermediate Care Services Director, Four Seasons Health Care
Alana Irvine has worked for Four Seasons Health Care since 1990 when she qualified as a Nurse. Alana progressed from a Regional Nurse to Sister and then became Home Manager at Comber Care Home in 2007.
She then became Regional Manager in 2012 and Intermediate Care Services Director in 2017. Alana has worked in intermediate care since 2010 and during this time, she worked with the team to implement electronic nursing records. When she became Regional Manager, she worked with SE Trust to further develop intermediate care services across her region. Alana now has a full team working with her to roll out the Intermediate Care Framework and has also set up a new service at Green Lane Intermediate Care Centre.
