Animal antics bring residents and children endless joy at Northlea Court

Residents and the team at Northlea Court Care Home in Cramlington welcomed two lots of guests into the home last week, both of which had a fantastic impact on the residents.

Sandra Smith, Home Manager, said: “We welcomed Animal Antics and the local children’s club into the home. Animal Antics brought with them a variety of creatures including a bunny rabbit and giant thorny stick insect to show to the residents and children. Some of the children were brave enough to have the creatures popped onto their head. They’re definitely braver than me and most of my team.

“Animals can have a positive impact on the well-being of residents, and visits from pet therapy animals and organisations such as Animal Antics are really important. I want to thank Animal Antics and the children’s club for coming in and spending time with our residents.”
