Rachel Carroll, Personal Activities Leader from Ardmaine Care Home in Newry, has taken up the challenge of fundraising for Southern Area Hospice.
Rachel Carroll told us: “Part of this challenge is to hold as many fundraising events as physically possible in the next three months. I’ve got lots of activities planned for the residents and care team to get involved in, including a waxing day, raffle, sponsored walk and cyclathon. Watch this space and I’ll keep you updated with our progress.”
Rachel’s first even saw the whole care team get involved, as they turned up for work in a slightly different type of uniform compared to normal.
Rachel explained: “Tuesday 13th September 206 saw the team take part in a sponsored Pyjama Day. There was lots of night time attire on show, but mine and the residents favourite was the dragon onesie. I want to thank everyone for getting involved and helping me to gather donations for this good cause.”
