On Saturday 30th April, a grand unveiling of resident’s artwork took place at Woodview Care Home in Lincoln.
Naomi Allen, Personal Activities Leader, explains: “We have many talented artists here at Woodview, and this is our second art exhibition. We have always displayed our resident’s masterpieces in the front corridor, but now we have to find some more wall space!
“The exhibition showcased work by individual artists and also a large mural, painted by the group, will have pride of place in our activities room. The mural features famous monuments from around Lincoln along with the wonderful red arrows decorating the sky above. It was designed by Rachel Rogers who does one to one support with residents in the home, and her son who is studying art at college. Lots of residents were involved in discussing ideas and painting the mural.
“All these lovely painting really have brightened up the place, and it’s great to see the residents showing off their masterpieces to their family and friends.”
