The Lord Mayor pays a visit to two lucky ladies

The Lord Mayor of Bristol stopped by to visit two very lucky ladies at Bishopsmead Lodge Care Home in Bristol.

Two residents at Bishopsmead Lodge recently celebrated some special birthdays - one resident turn 100, another turned 101. The Lord Mayor came to visit both ladies and presented them with boxes of chocolates with The Lady Mayoress as a way of wishing them happy birthday. Pauline Gammon (100 years old) was very pleased with her present. The other birthday girl took a shine to the Mayor's hat which he let her try on.

After celebrating with the girls, he made his way around the home introducing himself to all the residents. They all enjoyed meeting him and having a chat.

Francaise Miles, Home Manager, told us: "It was a delight to have the Lord Mayor visit us and the birthday girls for their special days. They all enjoyed meeting him and talking to him for the afternoon. We're already looking forward to the next visit."
