The care team at Bracknell Care Home in Bracknell gave two of their residents a birthday surprise they’d never forget.
Natsayi Dunira, Home Manager, said: “On Friday 8th July 2016, Tasha Corbett our Personal Activities Leader organised a very special day for our two residents who celebrated their birthdays a day apart.
“Brenda and Iris are huge Cliff Richard fans, so the home welcomed Jimmy Jermaine, the UKs number 1 Cliff Richard tribute act into the home, and he performed the ladies favourite songs.
“Iris and Brenda’s family came and enjoyed the celebrations, their sons even joined Cliff’s band and played a couple of their mum’s favourite songs. We toasted the ladies’ birthdays with a glass of champagne and some lovely birthday cake. It was a fantastic day and they all had fun.
“Iris sadly passed away 6 weeks after her birthday. Her family were deeply moved and so happy they could enjoy this last birthday in such a lovely way. We were pleased that we could give Iris some lovely memories. We miss her deeply here at Bracknell.”
