Everyone knows how busy our local police teams are. TV programmes such as 24 hours in Police Custody and 999: What’s Your Emergency demonstrate how vital the relationship is between the officers and the community they serve.
In Bracknell, a couple of Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) popped into Bracknell Care Home to have a cup of tea and a chat with the residents.
Natsayi Dunira, Home Manager, said: “The residents were really excited to see the officers. They swapped stories about what policing used to be like and how modern day issues have impacted on local policing. After chatting with the residents the officers met our very excitable guinea pigs before having a game of boules.
“Everyone had a lot of fun and I want to thank the officers for taking the time to come and visit us. They’ve agreed to regularly pop by and see the residents which went down very well. Our community is very lucky to have these officers looking out for us.”
