In some supermarkets, shoppers get to choose which good causes receive money from the supermarket’s community fund.
At Waitrose in Newton Mearns, shoppers popped their tokens into Campsie View Care Home’s box. The kindness and generosity of the shoppers raised £170.
Regional Manager Victor Dewson and Home Manager Katy Jenks were invited to a ceremony to collect the cheque.
Katy Jenks said: “It was lovely to receive this donation. I want to thank everyone who placed their token in or box. We’re going to use the money for music therapy to help our residents who have dementia.”
It was a week of celebrations at Campsie View in Glasgow, as the home celebrated the team’s success as they completed their SVQ2 award.
