Just because you live in a care home doesn’t mean you should give up your hobbies.
A resident at The Cedars and Larches Care Home in Ilkeston, hasn’t let living there stop her knitting.
Nina Wright, Home Manager, explains: “Eva Keightly, is one of our lovely ladies who enjoys knitting. She knits every single day and recently, she began knitting baby bonnets for the Premature Baby Unit in the Royal Derby Hospital. These bonnets will be delivered to the unit in a week or so. Eva is now seeing what other things she could knit for other organisations.”
Eva Keightly, said: “I love knitting. If I ever feel a little blue, knitting cheers me right up. I’m so proud of myself for knitting all of these bonnets. I’m glad they can be used for such a good cause.”
