Some of us have a thing for guys in uniform. That’s certainly the case for some of the female residents at The Cedars & Larches Care Home in Ilkeston.
Nina Wright, Home Manager, explains: “Alison our Personal Activities Leader asked a group of our ladies how they’d like to spend the afternoon. The reply caught us off guard as our lovely ladies said ‘we’d like to spend some time with some hunky firemen’. Not one to go a challenge, Alison got on the phone to the local fire station to see if they could help us.
“Within the hour 3 local fire fighters turned up at our door and made the ladies swoon. The firemen took the time to speak to all of the residents, filling the gents in on the history of the station. Two of our ladies got dressed up for the occasion and were certainly sad to see the firemen leave. I want to thank the guys for taking the time to come and see us.”
