Chef 'cut above the rest' at Catchpole Court

In the latest round of awards, handed out by South East Managing Director Jo Vasey, the Chef at Catchpole Court Care Home in Sudbry has been recognised for being the ‘top (hot)dog’ for all of his continued hard work.

Chris Wright was presented with his award by Home Manager Marie Smale. She said: “Chris was the winner for the Chef and Hospitality Award. He creates a variety of culinary delights that our residents enjoy eating, and will often cook special meals as requested by residents and their relatives. Chris is a fantastic asset to the team, and I’m so pleased that he has been recognised in this way His food really is superb!”

After receiving his award, Chris said, “My aim is to provide high quality food for our residents which is nutritional and well balanced. I also like to take into account the residents’ likes and dislikes, cooking the residents food of choice as opposed to just giving them something they haven’t asked for. My goals are to ensure the kitchen runs as smoothly as possible, whilst doing my best for the residents, relatives and team here at Catchpole Court.”
