Could it be magic? Residents wowed at Yatton House

Everyone at Yatton Hall felt a sense of awe as an air of magic and wonderment descended over the Yatton based Care Home.

A local magician came in and wowed the residents with a variety of tricks, including the traditional pulling a rabbit out of a hat. Once the trickery was out of the way, the magician then made a variety of models out of balloons, with the residents coming up with weird and wonderful requests.

Lisa Brain, Home Manager, said: “The residents really enjoyed watching the magic up close and personal. The one trick that did have everyone enthralled was when the magician pulled Snowy a white rabbit out of his hat. Snowy nearly did another disappearing act, with one of our residents trying to sneak him off to their bedroom, but thankfully Snowy was returned back to the hat.

“When the balloon models started, the residents asked for normal things first, such as flowers and a poodle. However, it got a little more difficult when one resident asked for a helicopter, which the magician delivered. It really was a lovely day.”
