Residents, the team and visitors galore danced the afternoon away when Burlington Court Care Home in Glasgow opened its doors to the local community.
Gwen McKenzie, Home Manager, said: “On Friday 17th June we opened our doors to and invited everyone inside for cupcakes, burgers, hot dogs and a ‘wee dram’. Care Home Open Day enables us to show our local community exactly what we do here at Burlington Court; this includes our special resident experiences.
“Those who came to the event danced the afternoon away with the residents and the team. I want to thank Spencer who provided the musical entertainment and everyone who came and made our event a success.”
Care Home Open Day is a UK wide initiative inviting care homes to open their doors to their local communities. Events like the one at Burlington Court Care Home will help to create lasting links between the residents and their local community.
Care Home Open Day is all about showing people what care homes are really about and how they can be at the centre of the local community, developing relationships across the generations.
