Guide dogs visit residents at Dane House

After welcoming Bruce and Thomas into their forever home, Dane House Care Home in Brighton opened its doors to two more four legged friends.

Barbara Evans, Home Manager, said: “The Guide Dog charity brought in Zara and Bassey for our residents to get to know. Before Zara and Bassey could get acquainted with our residents we heard how they’d progressed through their training to become service dogs, helping people who suffer with varying degrees of sight loss.

Once we’d learnt all about them, it was play time for Zara and Bassey, and after getting to know the residents, and Thomas and Bruce in the lounge, they went to visit some of our other residents in their rooms.

Everyone had a lovely time, and definitely enjoyed seeing man’s best friend. Although I think Bruce and Thomas are glad that they didn't stick around. ”
