St Catherines Care Home in Bolton put together a Digni-Tea party as part of the recent Dignity through Action Day – February 1st. The team invited residents and family members to join at the home for an afternoon of cream tea and entertainment.
To add to the day, the team invited local singer, Keith Moore, to come and perform for the guests. In the interval, cream tea and scones were served to everyone which went down well. To recognise the importance of dignity, everyone wrote down on a paper tea bag what dignity means to them. These were then all put into a large teapot for people to read.
A relative told us “We enjoyed the whole afternoon, singing and dancing to the music. We were made to feel extremely welcome by all the team. Cream tea and scones between the music was a great idea! A good day had by all”.
