Residents at Dounemount Care Home in Macduff have enjoyed getting up close and personal to some of their care team’s pets.
Kay Robertson, Home Manager, said: “Animals have a beneficial impact on people living in care homes. They can often help people to relax and relieve any stress or anxiety the resident feels. It’s safe to say when the dogs and lizard came into the home everyone was clamouring to meet them and be the first one brave enough to hold the lizard and cuddle the dogs. Our two most excited residents had to be sisters, Jeanie and Elma who loved the two dogs.
“It’s safe to say the pets will be making regular appearances here at Dounemount.”
When the residents finished enjoying the company of their furry and exotic new friends. They took to the garden to bask in the final few days of Scottish sunshine. Making the most of the weather before winter comes.
