Clare Bracken, Brand Manager for Four Seasons Health Care, presented Marlene with this award, said: “I was truly humbled to present this award to Marlene. Judging this category was a pleasure for me because I got to speak to some of the people who make special experiences for our residents on a daily basis. The feedback we had about Marlene was second to none, her Managing Director said her work was jaw dropping, and after speaking to her, I now understand why. Congratulations Marlene.”
Sheila Gesma, Home Manager for Laurels Lodge Care Home said: “Marlene has been with the home for a very long time. We don’t know what we’d do without her. She has our residents’ well-being at the centre of everything she does. Whether it’s creating special rooms for them to enjoy, organising parties, trips out or entertainment in the home, everyone is always catered for. She gets everyone involved too, so no one ever feels left out. Well done Marlene! We’re so proud of you!”
On receiving the award, Marlene said: “I was over the moon when I found out I was nominated. It means so much to me. It means I must be doing something right. I am completely shocked and humbled to have won. I feel no different to anyone else, not special in any way, but I am privileged to be highly thought of by my colleagues.”
