Hallgarth Care Home in Durham was transformed into the Wild Wild West as part of its latest treat for its residents.
Friday 26th August saw the home embrace a Country and Western theme complete with its very own jail – which housed some very interesting people from time to time.
Angela Muir, Home Manager, said: “We went the whole hog for our Country and Western themed day. The residents dined in the Cactus Jack saloon bar, decorated with wild west memorabilia, including flags, cart wheels and homemade cacti – made by our resident’s fair hands. The addition of the jail and wanted posters and the cowboy hats worn by the residents made the theme feel complete.
“To finish the afternoon off, we had a rooten tooten performance from local Country and Western singer Mr John Palmer.”
It’s great to see everyone enjoying the good, bad and ugly in the wild west of Durham.
