The team at Havencourt Care Home in Stonehaven came together to celebrate Care Assistant Vicky Costello’s success on achieving her Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) Level 2.
SVQs are based on national standards which are drawn up by people from industry, commerce and education. They are badges or benchmarks of competence, so they work as a guarantee that someone who holds an SVQ can do the job the qualification covers.
Vicky was guided through the process by the Learning and Development Team.
Sylvia Nicoll, Four Seasons Regional Manager for Grampian, said: “I want to congratulate Vicky on all of her hard work. Employers are very aware of SVQs and appreciate their value. Here at Four Seasons we’d always encourage and our teams to do all they can to up skill themselves and we’d support them through the process.”
Rhona McGregor, Home Manager, said: “I’m very proud of Vicky. She’s worked really hard and thoroughly deserves this recognition. The skills she’s learnt will further enhance the care she gives to the residents here at Havencourt, which from what I can see is an added bonus, as the team here are already doing a fantastic job.”
