Residents from Hesslewood House Care Home in Hessle enjoyed a traditional fish and chip supper.
Michelle Pepworth, Home Manager, said: “Some of the residents went to the small seaside resort town of Hornsea, to get as bit of fresh sea air. On their way back to the minibus, they stopped for a fish and chip supper which is a very traditional way to end a trip to the seaside.
“We know it’s important that our residents have the opportunity to get out and about. Just because you move into a care home doesn’t mean that you should have to give up the things you enjoy doing. Here at Hesslewood we like people to think of us as a home from home.”
