It was celebrations all around for Stanley based Care Home Hollie Hill.
On Saturday 23rd July 2016, the home held a party to celebrate its 20th anniversary. The celebrations were opened by the Labour MP Kevan Jones who covers the North Durham Area.
As part of the celebrations MP Kevan Jones presented the team at Hollie Hill with awards that recognised them for the service they provide. Aptly named Recognition of Care and Kindness (ROCK) awards, the team were nominated by a number of residents who were the guests of honour at the celebrations.
Home Manager, Jackie Coulson, said: “It’s always a very proud moment and extremely rewarding to see the team recognised for their care, dedication and commitment. I want to thank the team for everything they do on a daily basis to ensure our residents are at the heart of everything we do.
“Being presented the award by MP Kevan Jones was a real honour, and it was made extra special as the Mayor of Stanley Town Council also popped in to join in the celebrations. It was a fantastic day and is one of the reasons why I enjoy being a home manager.”
A ROCK award is a nationwide honour that specifically highlights the impact a Four Season Health Care employee has made on the lives of people living in one of their care homes. An internal prize, staff are nominated for an award by either residents, their relatives or friends, who have witnessed or experienced staff members demonstrating excellent standards of care and kindness in their role.
