Home shows off their family colours

Everyone at The Laurels Care Home in Hetton-le-hole embraced World Tartan Day on Wednesday 6th April.

Residents were joined by the Houghton Pipe Band, who played a variety of tunes on their bagpipes which really struck a chord with the residents.

Helen Bell, Home Manager said: “The home embraced World Tartan Day wholeheartedly. Some of us tried to do some traditional Scottish dancing, but couldn’t quite master the Highland Fling. It was great to see the residents and the team getting stuck in and fully involved. We’ve got lots more activities planned for the next few weeks so watch this space.”
