Residents at Howdon Care Centre in Wallsend decided to take advantage of the last spurts of sunshine we've had recently.
As we say farewell to summer with autumn now well on its way, residents wanted to make sure they soaked up every last ray of sunshine they could for 2016. A group of them set up camp outside in the wonderful sensory garden with a glass of juice or two for the afternoon.
Ruth Todd, Home Manager, told us: "It's great seeing the residents make the most of the sunshine in our sensory garden. It's such a relaxing space for them to use and is even more beautiful when the sun is shining. We're all hoping for some more last minute sunny days before we get to the winter months."
