Ice cream and music, why not?

Residents at Hallgarth Care Home in Durham have had a lovely couple of experiences that have involved ice cream and music.

Angela Muir, Home Manager, explains: “The sun came out and the sky was blue so some of the residents went to the Headland at Hartlepool for a walk along the sea front. The residents enjoyed fish and chips out of the paper followed by ice cream. A great day was had by all.”

It’s not all ice creams and fish and chips at the seaside. Back in the home the residents enjoyed a musical interlude from the shadows.

Angela Muir added: “Sheila Stone, one of our residents, invited everyone to a special concert, staring her son and friend, from the Ghost Riders. They played a range of guitar instrumentals, including music from the shadows. Everyone really enjoyed themselves, they are welcome back any time.”

Sheila Stone said: “That’s my boy! I’m one very proud mum!”
