It’s a dog’s life for new team member at Allander Court

The newest member of the team at Allander Court Care Home in Glasgow has definitely melted a few hearts; some might even call it puppy love.

Debbie Martin, Home Manager explains: “Leo, the most gorgeous 12 week old Chihuahua is the newest member of our team. He belongs to our Charge Nurse Annette Gillan, who initially brought him in to visit the residents as a one off. Naturally, our residents fell for Leo and his puppy dog eyes, so Annette now brings him four times a week. He even has his own uniform, he turns up in his little bow tie, which makes him look ten times cuter.

“Leo spends a lot of his time at the home sitting on people’s knees and having cuddles. He really does love it.”

One of the residents, a gentleman called Joe looks forward to Leo’s visits saying “when he feels down spending time with Leo really cheers him up.” Another resident who’s fallen head over heels, is a lady called Janet. She misses Leo on his non-working days, so to combat that she’s put a picture of him in her bedroom, so she can still look at him even though he’s not around.

Debbie Martin added: “It’s great to see the effect Leo has had. Everyone in the home looks forward to his visits.”

If you’d like to follow in Leo’s paw prints and work for Four Seasons, why not take a look at the current vacancies we have on our career’s section.
