Residents from Kestrel Lodge Care Home in Nottingham have been treated to a variety of culinary delights over recent weeks as residents and the team in the home have marked a number of special days.
The fun started with Pancake Day back at the beginning of February when residents got involved cooking and flipping their own pancakes, before tucking into them – covering them in whatever delicacy they like.
The next course came on Valentine’s Day, when the dining room was covered in hearts and flowers, whilst residents enjoyed some of their favourite meals cooked by the chef.
Finally, the residents were treated to something a little different and indulged in a cheese and wine afternoon.
Chris Harpham, Home Manager said: “Food plays an important part in all of our lives. People can bond and have a nice chat over a lovely meal or whilst socialising with cheese and crackers. All of our residents had a lovely time, on the various days, with lots of laughter to be had – especially when the pancakes were being tossed.”
