Saturday night at the movies, is a time honoured tradition, and something that many of us do on a regular basis. There’s even a song about it.
However, at Ladyville Lodge Care Home in Ockendon, they added a slight twist onto the traditional movie night.
Jane Maxwell, Home Manager explained: “The team at Ladyville wanted to do something special for the residents, so they brought the movies to life. Instead of settling down infront of the TV, the residents got to speak to some of their favourite film characters, who popped into the home for a short time.
“Everyone loved it, and it was a fun twist to the traditional night at the movies. Some of the impressions were a bit hit and miss, but it was all good fun. The residents even dressed up as their favourite characters, and acted their favourite scenes to a round of continued applause. I can’t wait to see what activity we add a twist onto next.”
