As we say goodbye to Valentine’s Day for another year – let’s take a look at some of the wonderful things our homes got up to over the weekend. Everyone went to town with decorations and entertainment to get everyone in the spirit of love.
Preston Glades Care Home in Preston decorated their living room from head to toe in love heart bunting. They also thought it would be a good idea to have a large heart in which people could write lovely messages on about what Valentine’s Day means to them.
Woodcot Lodge Care Home in Gosport also got into the spirit and arranged a special candle lit Valentine’s meal to be served in true restaurant style. The team decorated the dining room with love hearts all around which got residents talking about all the surprises they’d had over the years on Valentine’s Day.
There was a Valentine’s party at The Cedars and Larches Care Home in Ilkeston where the team organised a ‘Name the Valentine’s bear’ competition to help raise funds for the residents’ fund. After much discussion, the bear was named Dottie. They had a buffet tea whilst a local entertainer came in to perform for the residents.
Ladyville Lodge Care Home in Ockendon celebrated the day with a Masquerade Ball. The residents spent the week making their own masks and decorations ready for the big event. The team made special Valentine’s treats including some love heart cupcakes for everyone to enjoy.
Willow Lodge Care Home in Newcastle-upon-Tyne celebrated the day with a chocolate fountain and other lovely treats. Residents toasted to the day with their favourite tipple.
Happy Valentine’s Day from all at Four Seasons Health Care.
