Friday 17th June 2016, marked a special day at Lunardi Court Care Home in Cupar.
Alison Frew, Home Manager, explains: “Here at Lunardi Court we held a garden party to mark the opening of our Memories Tea Room. Due to the weather being a bit hit and miss, we moved the party inside, and welcomed Willie Rennie MSP, Leader of the Scottish Liberal Democrats and Karen Marjoram SNP our local councillor, who enjoyed themselves with residents and their relatives.”
Care Home Open Day is a UK wide initiative inviting care homes to open their doors to their local communities. Events like the one at Lunardi Court Care Home will help to create lasting links between the residents and their local community.
Care Home Open Day is all about showing people what care homes are really about and how they can be at the centre of the local community, developing relationships across the generations.
