The White Rabbit, Queen of Hearts, Mad Hatter and Cheshire Cat weren’t late for Osbourne Court Care Home’s very important date in Bristol.
The home held a Mad Hatter’s inspired tea party on Friday 17th June to celebrate Care Home Open Day.
Peter Mason, Home Manager, said: “Everyone embraced the Mad Hatter theme, with the team, residents and relatives all dressing up. There was enough tea and cake to feed a small army, but by the end of the event, I can assure you not much was left. We welcomed a variety of visitors into Osborne Court and it was nice to see the residents making new friends from the local community.”
Care Home Open Day is a UK wide initiative inviting care homes to open their doors to their local communities. Events like the one at Osbourne Court Care Home will help to create lasting links between the residents and their local community.
Care Home Open Day is all about showing people what care homes are really about and how they can be at the centre of the local community, developing relationships across the generations.
