Flower Park Care Home in Doncaster held a special celebration on Sunday 19th June to celebrate Father’s Day.
Amanda Searle, Home Manager, said: “Everyone had a lovely time celebrating Father’s Day at Flower Park. The Deputy Mayor and Mayoress popped in for a visit, and helped to sell raffle tickets, raising £32 for the resident’s fund. The Deputy Mayor danced with members of the team and some of the residents, strutting his stuff like a young John Travolta.
“The residents all enjoyed it. They were whooping and banging their tambourines in time with the entertainer, encouraging the Deputy Mayor to throw some shapes.
“It’s nice to see relatives coming into the home, to spend time on special days with loved ones. Events like these go to show that just because people live in a care home, doesn’t mean they can’t have fun.”
