Visitors to Benholm Care Home’s Open Day in Forfar were treated to warm hugs from Olaf the Snowman.
Marion Davies, Home Manager, said: “Everyone who came to our open day had a lovely time. Olaf joined us and was our guest judge presenting the prizes to the winners of a variety of categories including Best Dancer, Best Singer and Best Joke Teller.
“We also had entertainment from James’ Musical Memories and a lovely afternoon tea to round off the day. Olaf did a little dance for us, before popping off to the freezer to make sure he didn’t melt. I want to thank everyone for coming and sharing this special day with us.”
Care Home Open Day is a UK wide initiative inviting care homes to open their doors to their local communities. Events like the one at Benholm Care Home will help to create lasting links between the residents and their local community.
Care Home Open Day is all about showing people what care homes are really about and how they can be at the centre of the local community, developing relationships across the generations.
