Thank You Pellon!

A family has commended their local care home team for the care and kindness they showed to their loved one during a very special day.

The team at Pellon Care Centre in Halifax received a heartfelt thank you letter from the family, encouraging the home to keep doing what it was doing to provide special experiences for the family especially when it comes to birthdays.

The letter was written by Steve and Sandra Tankard and read:

On behalf of the whole family, we would like to thank the staff at Pellon Manor, Halifax, for their recent support and help in arranging the 90th Birthday celebrations for our Mum, Coral Conwell. The full staff team, Claire and Diane went above and beyond the call of duty, and the whole team should all be commended for their outstanding contribution to a successful and memorable occasion. It was the best move we could have made finding Pellon Manor as a suitable home for Mum & Dad. The Christmas activities look to be very well organised, and I am sure the staff will get involved with their usual exuberance. With grateful thanks to all the staff at Pellon Manor, which Four Seasons Health Care should be really proud of.”

Laura Clegg, Home Manager at Pellon Care Centre, said: “Receiving letters of praise like this makes me very proud as a home manager. The care sector can often get a bad reputation for one reason or another, so it’s really nice and heart-warming when we receive letters of praise. I want to thank the family for taking the time to write these kind sentiments.”

Lynn Hawkins, Regional Manager for Four Seasons homes in South and West Yorkshire, said: “This is a lovely gesture and a fantastic endorsement of the home. I’m sure the residents will benefit greatly from the kind donation, and I want to echo Laura’s thanks to the family for all they have done.”
