Visitors to Middleton Hall Care Home in Uphall were treated to a lovely summer party, as the home celebrated Care Home Open Day on Sunday 19th June 2016.
Ann Simpson, Home Manager, said: “The day was lovely. We welcomed visitors from the local community in, and showed them what we have on offer in our home. The residents enjoyed seeing some new faces and sharing their stories with them. The only downside was that we managed about an hour and fifteen minutes outside before the rain started, so we moved the party inside. The rain couldn’t do anything to dampen our spirits. I can’t wait for next year’s event.”
Care Home Open Day is a UK wide initiative inviting care homes to open their doors to their local communities. Events like the one at Middleton Hall Care Home will help to create lasting links between the residents and their local community.
Care Home Open Day is all about showing people what care homes are really about and how they can be at the centre of the local community, developing relationships across the generations.
