As part of a new campaign, Four Seasons Health Care will be recognising the fantastic life stories residents have told us. A resident at Murrayfield Care Home in London recently told us all about his life story.
Jay Jerome, resident at Murrayfield, was born and raised in Enfield. He has always been a man who wasn’t content in just blending in to the community – Jay wanted to make a difference to the lives of those people he lived amongst. With this in mind, Jay raised thousands for local charities whilst in the Freemasons. He also spent 3 years as a volunteer in the Samaritans.
Similarly in his professional career, he was committed to helping others. Jay served in the London Ambulance Service as a paramedic for much of his life. He was awarded a Long Service award for 20 years of exemplary service. Whilst a paramedic, Jay once found himself in the situation where he had to climb under a train to rescue a patient and was awarded again for his efforts.
Despite having a very busy lifestyle, Jay is a family man and when talking to him you will soon establish he is most proud of his large family.
