Residents at Woodview Care Home in Lincoln have been getting all glammed up, all in aid of a good cause.
The home took part in a regional ‘Glamour Day’ event, held in memory of a colleague who sadly lost her battle with cancer earlier this year.
Naomi Allen, Personal Activities Coordinator, explained how the residents embraced their inner glamour puss: “My friend Debbie volunteered to come in and help me give some residents a glamorous makeover. Between us we offered a variety of beauty treatments and hair styling. The residents loved it.”
The Glamour Day raised money for Dr Kershaw’s Hospice, so the organisation could help more people fight cancer.
Naomi Allen added: “As well as the money we raised on the day, we also contributed an extra £50 donation from our afternoon tea weekend to the worthy cause.”
We’ll keep you posted with how much money was raised for the event.
